An Afternoon Tea

I had a delightful afternoon tea with two new friends, complete with tea bag cookies, thanks to Pinterest inspiration and Stampin' Up! paper.

Tea brings out the English in us!

My Grandma Terry came to Canada from England in 1908 or so, after being sponsored by a widower neighbor of her sister. She arrived in Alberta, Canada with one small child, ready to care for the home and children of George Terry, her sponsor. You've guessed by her name, I'm sure, that they eventually married. My mother, Edith, was their first born child.

Card creations

One of the hobbies I've enjoyed and am still able to do, is card making. This wintry card was made with my great-grandchildren in mind as I was making up little card packets for them today. I enjoy creating bundles of pre-stamped cards and embellishments for them to receive in the mail and finish up as they choose. Once in a while I receive a card back!

This one arrived in the mail recently from our great-granddaughter, Hope. She visited us at Thanksgiving time and it was so much fun to see her and her family.
